ALS Fishing Tournament Saturday At Island Lake

DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – For a 23rd year, hundreds of anglers will accumulate together on Island Lake to join army to tilt in ALS.  

The 23rd Annual Kolar Toyota ALS Fishing Tournament will be reason this Saturday.  

The initial contest was reason in 1996 and lifted $40,000 to quarrel ALS. Since that initial year, a contest has lifted some-more than $2.8 million. All deduction go to programs and services for people vital with ALS and to investigate to find a means and cure. 

Tournament horde Kent Hrbek, who mislaid his father to ALS in 1982, said, “I demeanour brazen to this contest any year. Everyone works together to make a eventuality enjoyable. The contest facilities two-person teams competing on Island Lake, usually north of Duluth.  This year teams can select their fish species: walleye or bass. The teams with a many sum total weight will be announced a winners. Optional contests embody a Big Walleye Bonanza as good as a Bass Challenge; there is something for all forms of anglers.  There are several ways to acquire money prizes.
