ALS fundraiser designed during Nolan’s Tire & Auto

Well-known studious disciple Sam Beekman — who suffers from amyotrophic parallel sclerosis (or Lou Gehrig’s disease) — is organizing another fundraiser for ALS.
The automobile rinse fundraiser is set for 3-6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, during Nolan’s Point S Tire Auto Service, 22045 S.E. Stark St., Gresham.
A $10 smallest concession is compulsory for a automobile wash, and an additional $10 is compulsory to attend in Beekman’s Ice Bucket Challenge.
Beekman was diagnosed with ALS in Jul 2013. His group, “Come What May,” continues to lift recognition and income to support and hunt for a cure.
Rockwood reunion designed for Sept. 8
The annual reunion for all students who attended Rockwood Grade School has been scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Sept. 8 during Elmer’s Restaurant, 1933 N.E. 181st Ave. No other sum have been released.
Celebrate ‘Trail Days’ during Cascade Locks festival
Visit Cascade Locks this weekend to accommodate through-hikers roving along a Pacific Crest Trail and check out a latest innovations in outside rigging from a wide-array of vendors.
The 11th annual Pacific Crest Trail Days is a three-day summer festival, Aug. 18-20, hold in Cascade Locks on Thunder Island. The eventuality celebrates outside distraction with a concentration on hiking, camping and backpacking. Attendees will learn about outside products, attend in activities, games and presentations, win rigging by a raffle, listen to live song and ambience internal food and beverages.
All a raffle deduction go to a Pacific Crest Trail Association and a American Long Distance Hiking Association-West. Pacific Crest Trail Days is free, and organizers pronounced Saturday is a best day to attend.
