Living with ALS is formidable enough, though carrying your usually form of communication taken divided is even some-more difficult. That’s what happened to one Austin lady after her vocalization device was stolen while she and her father were withdrawal a Houston hospital

For Michael and Lisa Murphy each day is a struggle, and now some-more than ever.

“We as individuals, not usually myself, though other families compensate thousands of dollars to go to these hospitals and we design a things to be safe,” Murphy said.

After a outing to a Houston sanatorium a few weeks ago, he detected his wife’s vocalization device was taken. Lisa lives with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or ALS.

Murphy says between 11:06 and 11:30 a.m.  while loading into their car, a device along with a inscription and cellphone were gone.  Lisa loses not usually communication with her father and doctors, though partial of her independence.

“She can spin a t.v. on and off, she can review books, she can get on a internet,” Murphy said. “She can do things so she’s not usually stranded in this residence staring during a vacant wall.”

The integrate perceived a guard recently, a loaner, and nonetheless it helps, it doesn’t have a same capabilities as a device.

“Lisa is here all a time by herself during a daytime, we work a full time pursuit and we don’t have a income to sinecure a private chairman to come in and take caring of her and make certain she’s okay, that device is a necessity,’ Murphy said.

Despite a setback, Lisa is still in good spirits.

“Yes, we try to be positive,” she said.
