DAYTON — Family and friends from Central State University collected for an ALS recognition kick-off celebration in Dayton Saturday, Aug. 1. Around 50 people collected during a home of Trona Logan, a former student, basketball star, manager and worker during Central State University. Logan has ALS, and as partial of her Ice Bucket Challenge, she brought in a Lady Marauders to lift recognition for a cause.

Those participating in a plea dumped buckets of ice H2O on their heads on stages. Trona’s sister Christina spoke for her and released a plea to a Lady Marauders.

“I’m happy to see so many folks here currently to support me and my family, and others with ALS. We need to find treatments and a heal for ALS to assistance all a people with a disease. The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is one step toward that goal.”

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge was reignited on Friday, Jul 31, in Fenway Park, by a dual immature group who are credited with formulating a amicable media materialisation final year – Pat Quinn and Pete Frates, both of whom are vital with ALS.
