But on Easter weekend, when he was stricken with pneumonia that necessitated a tracheotomy, that wish seemed futile.
“I was upset, we was sad, though we knew this is where he indispensable to be,” Caitlin told Inside Edition. “It was only churned emotions since we didn’t wish him perplexing to come to graduation and have something happen. I’d rather him only stay in a sanatorium and be where he needs to be.”
Instead, a university brought a rite to him. Having schooled of a situation, Bruce Crauder, OSU’s associate vanguard of humanities and sciences, reached out to a family to contend he would come to Dallas to reason a private ceremony, with a hospital’s help.
Decorations were put up. Cupcakes were made. There were balloons.
Caitlin wore a robe and strode opposite a room to accept her diploma while a vanguard delivered remarks to her friends and family.
“It was nice,” pronounced Caitlin, a sociology vital who hopes to assume her dad’s purpose in a family’s promotion company. “It only meant a universe that they would indeed do that. we suspicion he was only going to have to watch me on a live-stream.”
