Newton-Conover High principal dies after battling ALS

Newton-Conover High School Principal Kevin Campbell died early Tuesday of ALS, ordinarily famous as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

“It is with extensive unhappiness that we have to surprise we that Mr. Kevin Campbell – husband, father, friend, and high propagandize principal – upheld divided this morning,” Newton-Conover City Schools Superintendent David Stegall announced Tuesday on a district’s website.

“Mr. Campbell has been a extensive purpose indication and coach to so many students and adults comparison over a years,” Stegall said.

Campbell was 46. He had battled ALS for 8 months, according to media reports.

Stegall pronounced Campbell worked for Newton-Conover given 1994, starting as an Exceptional Children’s clergyman from 1994 to 1999, as good as an jaunty trainer.

In 1999, he became an partner principal during Newton-Conover High before fasten Newton-Conover Middle School as an partner principal in 2001, Stegall said.

Campbell was afterwards named principal during Thornton Elementary, that he served from 2002 to 2007 before being named as Newton-Conover High School’s principal.
