Midland residents Jennifer Schaun and her father Mike, who suffers from ALS, strictly started a ALS of Michigan’s Walk ‘n Roll for ALS on Sunday during Emerson Park.
Mike was selected as a “honorary chairman with ALS” to start a walk.
“I’m deeply respected and offer my interjection to ALS of Michigan,” pronounced Mike before a start of a walk. “Thank we from a bottom of my heart.”
Mike, who was diagnosed in Feb 2013, distinguished his 46th birthday on Sunday as well.
The fundraising eventuality featured a 3-mile track where participants walked in teams in respect and support of those influenced by “Lou Gehrig’s Disease.”
ALS of Michigan offers remit care, support groups and medical reserve for those with ALS. Complimentary beverages and snacks were served to participants.
